Senior Project Accountant
Job Summary
Supporting multiple federal contracts, the full-time Senior Project Accountant will manage full lifecycle project accounting, including project setup, billing, and compliance, while working in a hybrid telecommute model from Reston, VA.
Key responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle project accounting for a portfolio of government contracts
- Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices and ensure compliance with GAAP and contract terms
- Monitor contract funding, ceilings, and burn rates, proactively notifying stakeholders of variances
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of project accounting experience in the GovCon industry
- Hands-on experience with Unanet or Deltek
- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and government billing requirements
- Experience with WAWF or other federal invoicing platforms
