Senior Property Accountant

Job Summary

Owning full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of residential assets, the full-time Senior Property Accountant will manage journal entries, prepare financial statements, and analyze budget variances while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned multifamily properties, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and owner reporting packages
• Serve as the accounting liaison during close and audit cycles, collaborating with auditors and property managers

Required qualifications

• Mandatory multifamily property accounting experience, specifically in apartment communities or student housing
• 10+ years of property accounting experience within multifamily property management
• Hands-on experience with Entrata and Yardi
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and experience managing multiple property closes on deadline
