Senior Proxy Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Proxy Engineer to design, build, and operate production-grade proxy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement high-performance forward, reverse, and transparent proxy systems in Go
• Design and maintain connection lifecycle management and traffic shaping within the proxy
• Implement and ensure compliance with core HTTP specifications and manage HTTP edge cases

Required Qualifications

• Expert command of HTTP and related application-layer protocols
• Deep experience architecting proxy systems
• Proficiency in Go and strong Lua scripting skills
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for proxy observability is a plus
• Knowledge of multi-tenant proxy configurations and rate limiting
