Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Public Benefit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and determine eligibility for uninsured/under-insured patients for state Medicaid benefits or financial assistance programs
• Communicate with patients to gather necessary documents for application submissions
• Document actions and communications in patient accounting systems and maintain relationships with Medicaid caseworkers

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specifically with hospital financial issues
• Understanding of revenue cycle processes including admissions, billing, payments, and denials
• Knowledge of patient insurance processes for authorizations and benefits verification
• High School Diploma or GED; relevant post-secondary education and experience may be considered
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company paid)
