Senior Python Developer

Job Summary

To support a growing web technology agency, the remote Senior Python Developer will design software architecture, implement efficient test-driven software, and mentor team members while working with clients to meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design solutions that align with business objectives and functional requirements using open source software
• Write efficient, test-driven software that implements functional requirements while adhering to industry best practices
• Mentor and collaborate with team members on projects to foster a supportive team environment

Required qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience planning and executing enterprise web products in Python, ideally with Django
• Experience as a development team lead, including conducting code reviews and providing mentorship
• Deep understanding of the HTTP protocol, web application performance, and scalability
• Experience architecting testable applications
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Go, and/or Java, along with contributions to open source projects
