Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Backend Engineer - AI Tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance systems in Python for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control
• Collaborate with teams to support model training and evaluation workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable fixes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience writing production Python backend services
• Full-stack developer experience with a strong systems programming background
• Mastery of modern web frameworks and strict type enforcement patterns
• Experience architecting robust APIs (REST/GraphQL) and designing database schemas
• Ability to commit 20-40 hours per week
