Senior Python Engineer

Job Summary

To support the DataFeed Team, the remote Senior Python Engineer will design, build, and maintain Python services for sports data ingestion, transformation, and distribution while ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python services for sports data ingestion and distribution
• Integrate with third-party sports data providers and manage data processing pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data validation and system observability

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with Python
• Experience with backend services and solid Django skills
• Production experience with Apache Kafka and strong SQL skills, particularly with PostgreSQL
• Ability to reason about data correctness and handle edge cases
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
