Senior Python Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Python) for their Data Platform team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and machine learning engineers to understand their needs and challenges
• Propose, architect, design, and implement solutions to enhance data product team efficiency
• Lead efforts to improve the software engineering culture within the data organization and resolve issues with core data pipelines and Python libraries

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Python engineer with a background in data engineering and internal tooling
• Expert fluency in Python and SQL, with a strong understanding of programming language internals
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices and testing methodologies
• Experience with container-based software development workflows (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake)
• Proficiency in using analytical databases and implementing database-driven solutions
