Senior Python Software Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Python Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain the calculation logic and infrastructure for the Economics engine, while writing efficient Python code and engaging in architectural discussions.
Key responsibilities
- Write efficient Python code for structured time series datasets and manage features from scoping to deployment
- Engage in software and infrastructure design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions
- Build and maintain reliable backend services and APIs, while optimizing data in MongoDB
Required qualifications
- Proficient in production-grade Python 3.13+ with a focus on type safety and async/await
- Experience designing clean REST or gRPC APIs with OpenAPI contracts
- Hands-on experience with Flask and/or FastAPI for building production services
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, particularly SOLID principles
- Familiarity with MongoDB schema design, indexing, and aggregation pipelines
