Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To support a cloud-native platform built on event-driven microservices, the full-time Senior QA Automation Engineer will design, build, and maintain automated test coverage, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines while working remotely from anywhere in the continental U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and own automated test suites, ensuring test code is maintained to the same standard as production code
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to run on every commit and validate deployment configurations across various environments
• Define and track quality metrics, partnering with engineers to ensure features are testable from the early development cycle

Required qualifications

• 4-year degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 5 years in a QA or test engineering role with a strong automation focus
• Hands-on experience building automated test suites for web applications and backend services using modern frameworks
• Experience testing distributed, microservice, or event-driven systems, including API testing
• Working knowledge of containers and Kubernetes for running and isolating tests
