Senior Qualitative Researcher

Job Summary

Leading complex qualitative and mixed-methods research initiatives, the full-time remote Senior Qualitative Researcher will provide strategic direction, methodological leadership, and client consultation while overseeing high-visibility research programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design qualitative data collection instruments, including interview guides and focus group protocols
• Plan and conduct pilot and cognitive testing to ensure instrument effectiveness prior to clearance
• Train and certify site interviewers, ensuring adherence to research ethics and trauma-informed interviewing techniques

Required qualifications

• Master's degree and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated experience in developing qualitative instruments and conducting pilot and cognitive testing
• Strong knowledge of qualitative coding and codebook development
• Experience training and certifying interviewers for hard-to-reach populations
• Ability to obtain and maintain required customer clearance for access to systems and facilities
