Senior Quality Engineer

Job Summary

Recognized as a technical expert, the Senior Staff Quality Software Engineer will lead complex quality engineering initiatives on a contract basis, ensuring the delivery of reliable and high-performing software solutions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and adopting emerging QA tools and methodologies
• Lead cross-functional defect prevention and root-cause analysis efforts to address systemic issues
• Mentor QA engineers and developers, fostering skill development and integrating quality best practices into development pipelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years, or a PhD with 8+ years of experience
• Expert-level knowledge of software QA methodologies and modern quality engineering practices
• Demonstrated experience leading quality engineering initiatives and influencing technical direction
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a track record of developing high-performing QA professionals
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards in the medical device environment, including GMP and cybersecurity principles
