Senior Quality Engineer

Job Summary

To ensure high-quality releases for a data platform, the full-time remote Senior Quality Engineer will develop and maintain Java test automation frameworks, define test strategies for distributed systems, and enhance CI/CD pipeline testing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks in Java for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Define and implement test strategies that address the failure modes of distributed backend systems
• Champion quality engineering practices and monitor test coverage and release confidence metrics

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles
• 3+ years of experience with Java in quality or test engineering
• Solid experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation in release workflows
• Understanding of distributed systems and their challenges for test design
