Job Summary
To advance the state of quantum computing, the full-time Senior Quantum Applied Research Scientist will design and develop real-time AI models for quantum system calibration and decoding, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Research and develop open AI models for quantum system calibration to enhance the quantum community's capabilities
- Build physics-informed synthetic data generation pipelines for high-quality training data in calibration and decoding model development
- Architect real-time AI systems that integrate calibration state and decoding requirements for fault-tolerant feedback loops
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred) or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in quantum systems and AI/ML research with a significant impact
- Hands-on expertise in machine learning and deep learning for scientific applications, including model architecture design and training at scale
- Strong background in quantum device physics, noise models, and fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Broad understanding of quantum control and classical feedback mechanisms
