Senior R Programmer Analyst

Job Summary

To support real-world data and analytics engagements, the long-term remote Senior R Programmer Analyst will conduct expert-level programming in R, with additional proficiency in SAS desired, while executing queries against various healthcare data sources.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand and clarify analytic requests and study specifications, executing accurate queries against claims and EHR data
• Respond to project leadership requests independently, meeting aggressive and shifting timelines
• Communicate methods and results clearly, balancing attention to detail with the overall project goals

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a related field
• 4-6 years of hands-on programming experience with healthcare data (7+ years for Senior level consideration)
• Practical experience with major claims databases and electronic health record data
• Strong R programming skills, including Shiny, and working knowledge of SAS
• Solid grounding in statistical techniques such as survival analysis and generalized linear modeling
