Job Summary
Leading advocacy efforts in the PJM Interconnection and surrounding Mid-Atlantic states, the full-time Senior Regional Advocate will advance climate and clean energy goals by engaging with state coalitions, government officials, and external organizations in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead state-based coalitions focused on PJM advocacy and engage with key stakeholders, including Governor's office staff and state legislators
- Support legislative and regulatory engagement while conducting policy research to inform advocacy strategies
- Design and implement Evergreen's PJM advocacy strategy, translating complex policy issues into effective communications
Required qualifications
- Experience in state government wholesale markets, policy, or advocacy campaigns
- Strong background in climate and clean energy advocacy
- Ability to coordinate with external technical experts and represent the organization in various venues
- Proven track record of engaging with environmental NGOs and regulatory bodies
- Experience in developing and implementing advocacy strategies
