Senior Regulatory Analyst

Job Summary

Managing the analytical center of a key contract, the full-time salaried Senior Regulatory Analyst will analyze public comments on proposed rules, oversee contract deliverables, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze public comments to identify themes, high-risk issues, and quantitative metrics, and build a key issues matrix for policy discussion
• Maintain deliverable tracking, lead project planning meetings, and write monthly progress reports for the client
• Set coding schemes for rulemaking and review analyst outputs to ensure alignment with federal and USDA style guidance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in public policy, law, economics, or related field preferred
• Thorough understanding of the federal notice-and-comment rulemaking process and the Administrative Procedure Act
• Direct experience analyzing or responding to public comments on federal rulemaking
• Strong analytical writing skills with a requirement for a writing sample
• Familiarity with federal regulatory requirements and experience producing Section 508 compliant documents
