Senior Reinsurance Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Reinsurance Accountant who will manage the accounting, reporting, and analysis of reinsurance transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review reinsurance journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures
• Analyze reinsurance results and collaborate with various departments to ensure data integrity
• Support process improvements and maintain SOX-compliant documentation for audits

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• 3-6 years of reinsurance or insurance accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principles
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward certification preferred
• Experience with financial systems or reinsurance subledgers desirable
