Senior Reinsurance Accountant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Reinsurance Accountant to manage reinsurance administration, accounting, and reporting in a remote capacity, while collaborating with internal teams and external reinsurers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer reinsurance agreements and prepare settlements, analyzing reinsurance results and recording activities
• Contribute to financial close cycles by reviewing and analyzing reinsurance operating results
• Onboard new reinsurance treaties and ensure compliance with SOX and audit standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred
• At least 4 years of experience in reinsurance analysis, financial reporting, and accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with admin systems and ledger data
• Knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting
• Familiarity with AI tools for financial analysis and reporting
