Senior Relay Protection Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior or Principal Relay Settings and System Protection Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, specify, calculate settings, and coordinate protective relays and relay control schemes
• Provide technical guidance to other engineers and present technical solutions to clients
• Perform short-circuit analysis, develop relay settings, and ensure compliance with industry standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Professional Engineering registration or plan to become registered within two years
• 5+ years of relevant experience in power system protection & controls engineering for senior role, and 10+ years for principal role
• Proven experience with system modeling and fault analysis software
• Strong knowledge of relay coordination studies and protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
