Senior Renewable Energy Project Leader

Job Summary

Leading the development of utility-scale renewable energy storage projects, the full-time Senior Renewable Energy Project Leader will manage project development teams remotely, overseeing the lifecycle from site origination to project financing while ensuring compliance with regulatory and interconnection processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead greenfield utility-scale renewable development projects, creating de-risking strategies and overseeing project execution
• Manage Project Development Managers and cross-functional teams to bring projects from site origination to Notice to Proceed (NTP)
• Negotiate commercial agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and interconnection agreements, ensuring financial viability of projects

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy, including energy storage and solar PV
• Demonstrated team management and project management leadership experience
• Proven track record in developing renewable project strategies and navigating the development lifecycle
• Experience with site acquisition, permitting, and interconnection processes for renewable projects
• Familiarity with the RFP/RFI process and real estate/land transactions related to renewable energy projects
