Senior Renewables Financial Accountant

Job Summary

To support a growing renewable energy venture, the full-time Senior Renewables Financial Accountant will manage project-based financial reporting and accounting initiatives remotely, focusing on GAAP financial statements, financial audits, and compliance with revenue recognition standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of project-based financial reporting and journal entries involving multi-entity structures
• Collaborate with EPC Project Managers to assess project costs and track performance towards development milestones
• Lead capitalization implementation accounting initiatives and develop financial reporting packages for project contracts

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of corporate finance and accounting experience with GAAP principles
• Experience with project-based accounting, including EPC, construction, and service contracts
• CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Quickbooks or similar financial accounting software
• Strong accounting skills in MS Excel, including macro/VBA capabilities and data analysis
