Senior Research and Grants Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Research and Grants Manager to oversee financial aspects of sponsored research projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between principal investigators and various departments, ensuring compliance with regulations and advising on expenditures
• Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research to manage awards, cost transfers, and project reporting
• Supervise and mentor staff, implement process improvements, and lead cross-campus projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
• Expert knowledge of governmental regulations and university policies
• Strong accounting skills and proficiency in Excel and web-based tools
• Experience in project management and managing complex multi-sub award contracts
• Certifications such as Certified Accountant, MBA, or project management certification are desired
