Senior Research Associate

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Research Associate, the candidate will lead research and analysis on industrial heat efficiency and electrification, engage with policymakers and industry stakeholders, and contribute to market transformation efforts, all while working remotely or from the Washington, DC office.

Key responsibilities

• Leads and publishes research on industrial heat efficiency and electrification
• Develops thought leadership and engages in outreach for industrial programs and policy initiatives
• Coordinates collaborations among utilities, industrial companies, and NGOs to advance energy efficiency and carbon reduction

Required qualifications

• Strong interest in industrial decarbonization and/or industrial policy
• Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience, or Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience
• Coursework in engineering, physical science, economics, and/or environmental science
• Experience engaging with federal or state agencies and/or policymakers
• Track record of authorship in peer-reviewed reports, including at least one as lead author
