Senior Research Associate II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Research Associate II to support genomic analysis for marine mammal conservation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct eDNA field collection and perform eDNA extractions, quantitative and digital PCR, and metabarcoding
• Manage genomic data, metadata, pipelines, and prepare reports or peer-reviewed manuscripts
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper database entry and archiving of data

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience with contributions to research dissemination
• Fieldwork and laboratory experience, including eDNA collection and genomic data analysis
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
