Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Research Grants Manager will manage the financial aspects of diverse federal and non-federal sponsored research projects, serving as a liaison among principal investigators, the Office of Sponsored Research, and other departments while ensuring compliance and overseeing expenditures.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain cost-sharing commitments and serve as a liaison between stakeholders, responding to sponsor inquiries and advising on regulations
- Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research to ensure proper award setup and fulfillment of cost-sharing requirements
- Review and approve expenditures, oversee compliance related to funding, and manage contract closeout processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Expert knowledge of governmental regulations (e.g., FAR, A-21, A-110, A-133, CAS)
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in project management, including managing complex multi-sub award contracts
- Completion of Cardinal Curriculum I and II or relevant certifications such as a Certified Accountant or Auditor, MBA, or project management certification is desired
