Senior Research Scientist

Job Summary

To support the innovative Search Research team, the full-time Senior Research Scientist will analyze complex problems, develop machine learning solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance Yahoo Search products.

Key responsibilities:

• Formulate real-world problems into machine learning paradigms and design scalable solutions
• Code algorithms and identify opportunities to integrate machine learning into existing products
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement research findings and communicate complex concepts effectively

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of industry experience with a proven impact
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field
• Expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing
• Advanced coding skills in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
• Experience in collaborative research with a strong publication record
