Job Summary
To support impactful global health initiatives, the full-time Senior New Areas Researcher will lead ambitious research agendas, answer complex questions, and contribute to grantmaking decisions in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and oversee learning grants, including impact evaluations for new and existing programs
- Conduct rigorous evidence reviews and cost-effectiveness modeling to inform funding decisions
- Communicate research findings externally and mentor other researchers on the team
Required qualifications
- Quantitatively oriented advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, economics, or a related field
- Substantial professional experience in global health or an adjacent field, including program design, monitoring, or evaluation
- Ability to quickly adapt to new topics and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strong interest in GiveWell's mission and methods, with a passion for impactful research
- Curiosity and willingness to critically evaluate research and assumptions
