Senior RPG Analyst Programmer

Job Summary

Leading the analysis, design, development, and support of strategic IBM i applications and EDI integrations, the full-time Senior RPG Analyst Programmer will work remotely, leveraging expertise in RPG, DB2, and Cleo Extol to optimize business processes and modernize client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, support, and enhance EDI solutions using Cleo Extol, ensuring reliable integration between IBM i applications and external systems
• Collaborate with clients to analyze business needs, resolve application and EDI issues, and deliver solutions throughout the project lifecycle
• Analyze, design, code, test, and maintain applications using RPG, RPGLE, Free-Form RPG, Embedded SQL, and DB2 for i

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and supporting enterprise solutions on IBM i (iSeries / AS400)
• Strong experience with Cleo Extol (EDI), including EDI mapping, translation, and onboarding of new business partners
• In-depth knowledge of RPG, including RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, and modern ILE development practices
• Expertise in EDI standards, including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML
• Advanced skills in DB2 for i, including database design and SQL programming
