Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients in resolving application issues and delivering solutions throughout the project life cycle
• Analyze, design, code, and test software applications using RPG and SQL
• Ensure program integrity through various testing phases and lead code reviews

Required Qualifications

• 20+ years of proven experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform
• Mastery of RPG, especially RPGLE, including Free-form syntax and embedded SQL
• Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design
• Deep understanding of ILE concepts (Modules, Service Programs, Binding Directories)
• Experience with structured deployment and version control processes
