Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst

Job Summary

Leading the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of business-critical IBM i applications, the remote Senior RPG Programmer/Analyst will architect solutions that modernize legacy systems while providing consulting services to clients throughout the project life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients in resolving application issues and delivering solutions throughout the full project life cycle
• Analyze, design, code, and test software applications using RPG and SQL
• Ensure program and application integrity through various testing phases and lead code reviews

Required qualifications

• 20+ years of proven experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform
• Mastery of various forms of RPG, especially RPGLE with Free-form syntax and embedded SQL
• Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design
• Deep understanding of ILE concepts, including Modules and Service Programs
• Experience navigating structured deployment and version control processes
