Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Safety Methodology Engineer to develop and defend Design Basis Accident methods and support licensing efforts for advanced reactor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on modeling techniques for Design Basis Accident events
  • Prepare and document analytic methodology reports, defending assumptions and approaches
  • Conduct sensitivity studies using relevant codes to validate methodology performance
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. (+10 years), M.S. (+7 years), or Ph.D. (+5 years) in nuclear, mechanical, or related engineering/science fields
  • Experience with transient safety analysis, methodology development, and system modeling
  • Knowledge of Licensing Basis Events and regulatory requirements
  • Strong thermal hydraulic and transient system modeling skills
  • Experience with code validation & verification in nuclear safety applications
