Senior Safety Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Safety Methodology Engineer to develop and support safety methodologies in the nuclear energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with methodology lead to refine modeling techniques for Design Basis Accident (DBA) events
• Prepare and document analytic methodology reports, defending assumptions and best estimate approaches
• Conduct sensitivity studies using relevant codes to validate methodology performance

Required Qualifications

• B.S. (+10 years), M.S. (+7 years), or Ph.D. (+5 years) in nuclear, mechanical, or related engineering/science fields
• Demonstrated experience with transient safety analysis and methodology development
• Knowledge of Licensing Basis Events and DBA topical requirements
• Strong thermal hydraulic and transient system modeling skills
• Experience with code validation & verification in nuclear safety applications
