Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Safety Methods Engineer to perform design and licensing analyses and develop associated methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop methodologies for design and licensing basis events, including transient and accident analyses
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish functional, performance, safety, and quality requirements for core and SSC
  • Contribute to software qualification and perform engineering reviews of analyses and design media
Required Qualifications
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with at least 10 years of experience in the nuclear field
  • Knowledge of nuclear systems, thermal-hydraulic, fuel performance, and reactor dynamics
  • Experience with transient and accident analysis codes is required
  • Familiarity with EMDAP and regulatory guidance for Non-Light Water Reactors is required
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering teams to address engineering challenges
