Senior Safety Verification Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Safety Verification and Validation Engineer to support the design and licensing of the Natrium Demonstration reactor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop assessment bases and benchmark models for safety verification and validation
• Perform and coordinate safety computer code verification and validation test programs
• Contribute to the development of analytical models and perform engineering reviews of analyses

Required Qualifications and Education

• M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering or a relevant engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear field
• Extensive experience in nuclear safety software verification and validation activities
• Familiarity with EMDAP and Regulatory Guide 1.203
• Significant experience with safety analysis software such as RELAP5-3D, TRACE, or MELCOR
• Knowledge of nuclear systems thermal-hydraulic fundamentals and reactor dynamics
