Senior SAS Developer
Job Summary
To support high-visibility statistical reporting frameworks, the contracted Senior SAS Developer will perform data validation, ensuring data integrity across multiple federal reporting channels while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily data validation scripts to guarantee data quality and structural integrity
- Execute row count and record-count reconciliation routines to identify structural anomalies
- Lead data profiling efforts to track variable distributions and ensure compliance with data handling mandates
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data analysis with a proven history of executing complex database routines
- Extensive experience coding with SAS programming languages, including SAS DATA step processing and PROC SQL scripting
- Ability to support a flexible production schedule, including staggered hours and holiday coverage
- Mastery of relational database languages and familiarity with enterprise database environments such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Experience handling highly restricted datasets while ensuring compliance with federal privacy definitions
