Senior Scala Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing engineering team, the remote Senior Scala Software Engineer will design and develop scalable systems, collaborate with Agile teams to deliver cloud-based solutions, and write high-quality code focused on data streaming and backend services.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, immutable, and distributed systems using functional Scala
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to build robust cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS infrastructure
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in software application development
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with functional programming (e.g., Scala, Haskell, Clojure, Common Lisp)
- 2+ years of experience working with AWS, including services like DynamoDB
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent specialized training and experience in technology
