Senior Scientific Developer

Job Summary

To support the development of a cutting-edge drug discovery platform, the remote Senior Scientific Developer will design, implement, and maintain scientific software and workflows, focusing on computational biology and medicinal chemistry while working independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scientific software for drug discovery workflows such as docking and molecular dynamics
• Build and evolve the Python SDK and scientific APIs for platform users to run and analyze workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate scientific tools into the cloud platform while ensuring code quality and debugging

Required qualifications

• MSc or PhD in chemistry, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Deep domain knowledge in areas such as medicinal chemistry, cheminformatics, or computational drug discovery
• Strong Python programming skills with experience in building libraries and APIs
• Proficiency in Docker for containerizing scientific applications and workflows
• Experience implementing scientific algorithms and workflows from prototype to production
