Senior Scientific Portfolio Manager

Job Summary

To advance a biomarker-focused scientific agenda, the full-time Senior Scientific Portfolio Manager will oversee complex portfolios throughout all stages of grant-making, collaborating with stakeholders and communicating strategies to enhance therapeutic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Shapes and communicates a value-added scientific agenda for assigned biomarker portfolios, leveraging input from internal teams and external advisors
• Manages assigned portfolio(s) through all stages of grant-making, including proposal development, review, and milestone management
• Conceptualizes and implements departmental RFAs and RFPs, while providing insights for process improvements based on team discussions

Required Qualifications

• PhD with relevant work experience in biopharma or healthcare consulting, specifically in biomarker development or translational research
• Demonstrated experience in scientific management of projects and portfolios at both strategic and tactical levels
• Ability to synthesize complex information and articulate scientific viewpoints to diverse audiences
• Expertise in biomarker research and interpretation of biomarker data to inform therapeutic development
• Initiative and independence to identify portfolio needs with input from peers across the research business unit
