Senior Scientific Research Writer

Job Summary

To support the initial development of the Yale School of Nursing Center for Aging Well, the full-time remote Senior Scientific Research Writer will provide high-level scientific writing, grant development, and research program support while collaborating with faculty and strategic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies in collaboration with internal and external partners to advance the Center's research portfolio
• Identify funding opportunities and assist in the submission of grant proposals to enhance the Center's sustainability
• Manage communications and outreach efforts to promote the program's visibility and foster partnerships

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with seven years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extensive experience in scientific writing, research development, or scholarly communications in an academic or health sciences setting
• Demonstrated success in contributing to extramural grant applications and peer-reviewed publications
• Familiarity with NIH and other federal funding mechanisms and academic publishing standards
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
