Senior Scientist, Formulation Development

Job Summary

Leading formulation and process development projects for novel and existing drug products, the full-time Senior Scientist, Formulation Development will manage the formulation lifecycle from pre-formulation to manufacturing scale-up in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead projects for the development of novel and existing formulations, including dosage form selection and manufacturing scale-up
• Design and execute formulation and process development experiments in collaboration with contract laboratories and CDMOs
• Serve as a subject matter expert and support technical writing for intellectual property and regulatory filings

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D/M.S./B.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields
• 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development, with specific experience in formulation development for small molecule drugs
• Deep understanding of formulation techniques for sterile, parenteral dosage forms
• Experience with drug-device combination products for injectable drug products is preferred
• Technical expertise in formulation strategies for poorly water-soluble APIs and experience with physicochemical characterization methods
