Senior Scientist in Bioengineering
Job Summary
Partnering with ARPA-H leadership, the full-time Senior Scientist in Bioengineering will provide technical expertise and program management support for transformative health research initiatives focused on human physiology systems, organ preservation, and transplantation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and strategic support for programs involving tissue and organoid manufacturing and transplantation technologies
- Evaluate emerging technologies for scientific merit and potential clinical adoption
- Conduct technology landscape assessments and competitive analyses to inform decision-making
Required Qualifications
- PhD in physiology, bioengineering, or a related field; or MD with significant transplantation experience
- Demonstrated expertise in organ preservation, transplant biology, or regenerative medicine
- Ability to critically evaluate technical data and research plans
- Experience synthesizing complex scientific information for technical and leadership audiences
- Ability to obtain a federal government Public Trust clearance
