Senior SD-WAN Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior SD-WAN Engineer for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead WAN/SD-WAN architecture and design across various environments, transitioning from MPLS to software-defined networking
• Develop and optimize SD-WAN policies for performance, reliability, and security
• Support SASE and Zero Trust adoption while enabling cloud connectivity and leading SD-WAN rollouts

Required Qualifications:

• 8-10+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on WAN and SD-WAN
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela and VMware VeloCloud
• Solid understanding of routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF
• Experience in designing and supporting enterprise WAN environments
• Knowledge of network security concepts and cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure)
