Senior Security Analyst

Job Summary

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the full-time Senior Security Analyst will focus on threat detection and response, identifying and mitigating security threats while working remotely in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with other security teams to identify, investigate, and mitigate threats
• Continuously evaluate GitHub's detection suite and identify visibility gaps
• Lead and participate in purple team exercises to enhance security posture

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security analysis, security research, or cybersecurity, or equivalent education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in threat hunting and/or detection engineering
• 3+ years of experience with SIEM solutions
• 5+ years of experience with software development in Python
