Senior Security Analyst

Job Summary

To build a robust public sector security program, the full-time Senior Security Analyst will design and operate continuous monitoring capabilities, translate federal requirements into practical controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operate a continuous monitoring and continuous authorization capability adaptable across various compliance frameworks
• Translate CMMC 2.0, FedRAMP 20x, and other requirements into actionable security controls and recommendations
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Security to align federal requirements with Chainguard's cloud-native systems

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a federal, defense, or intelligence environment with technical or operational responsibilities
• Working knowledge of CMMC Level 2 and at least one of FedRAMP, RMF, or NIST 800-53
• Strong risk-based judgment to differentiate between compliance and effective risk reduction
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive cross-functional projects to completion
• Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
