Senior Security Compliance Engineer

Job Summary

To support multiple venture applications, the full-time contract Senior Security Compliance Engineer will build, implement, and operate security controls while ensuring SOC 2 readiness in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate security and compliance controls across venture applications and supporting systems
• Translate enterprise customer security requirements into practical technical controls and operational workflows
• Create a reusable security control baseline applicable to current and future ventures

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, cloud security, or security compliance with hands-on control implementation experience
• Experience owning or driving at least one full SOC 2 readiness-through-audit cycle
• Demonstrated ability to configure and operate security and compliance systems directly
• Hands-on experience with identity and access controls, secure SDLC controls, and cloud security controls
• Experience operating a compliance automation platform (e.g., Vanta, Drata, Secureframe) from scratch
