Senior Security Compliance Engineer

Job Summary

To build, implement, and operate security controls across multiple applications in a remote contract role, the Senior Security Compliance Engineer will translate enterprise customer security requirements into practical controls, support SOC 2 readiness, and ensure effective operation of security measures.

Key responsibilities

• Build, implement, and operate security and compliance controls across multiple venture applications
• Create a reusable security control baseline applicable to current and future venture applications
• Support SOC 2 readiness activities, including control mapping, evidence requirements, and audit preparation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or related fields
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls in cloud/SaaS environments
• Experience supporting SOC 2 readiness or similar compliance programs
• Strong understanding of security controls, audit evidence, and control testing
• Ability to configure and operate security and compliance systems directly
