Senior Security Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP, the full-time Senior Security Data Engineer will manage data ingestion, routing, and schema management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security and operational efficiency in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the ingestion, routing, and enrichment of log data while controlling costs and ensuring data reliability
• Model security data and optimize query performance in data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery
• Develop production services and integrations, including custom SIEM connectors and automation tools

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating high-volume data pipelines at a multi-terabyte-per-day scale
• 4+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, Rust, or Java for production software development
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling within columnar data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
• Demonstrated experience managing reliability for platforms relied upon by other engineers, including on-call responsibilities
• Strong background in AWS and GCP, including infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline management
