Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the tooling and processes that secure applications throughout their lifecycle, the full-time Senior Security Engineer will build and maintain security systems, integrate security into developer workflows, and leverage AI to enhance automation in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the vulnerability management program focused on application security
• Build and maintain security tooling that integrates into CI/CD pipelines for automatic security enforcement
• Work directly with engineering teams to influence secure development practices through practical tools and defaults

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in software and/or platform engineering
• Deep understanding of application security and vulnerability management, including CVEs and SDLC integration
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP/GKE or equivalent
• Proficiency in using AI tools for coding and analysis as a core part of the development process
• Experience influencing engineering culture around security to ensure developers prioritize secure practices
