Senior Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading end-to-end Red Team engagements, the fully remote Senior Security Engineer will identify systemic security issues, build complex attack paths, and mentor team members while collaborating with various teams to enhance security measures across Amazon's infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Red Team engagements from scoping and target identification to execution and reporting
• Build and execute multi-stage attack paths across diverse environments, including cloud infrastructure and AI/ML systems
• Mentor and develop other engineers by overseeing engagements and providing technical guidance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 6+ years of hands-on Red Team/offensive security experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, or C++
• 5+ years of experience in Red Team or offensive security roles, including penetration testing and adversary simulation
• 2+ years of experience leading or technically directing multi-person offensive engagements
• Knowledge of cloud computing services and deployment architecture
